Reese-isms

I'll update this often with more of her silly phrases, but for now, here's a snipet of her language:



Here is a list of the wacky things my daughter says, or has been saying lately:


"Your oil highness"
"I'm changing back into my mind."
"Could I have some fresh panties?" (not "clean", not "new")
"Momma, who do I look?" (not how, who....and not who do I look like, either)
"I look a fairy princess."

Here's what she prays every night, verbatim:
"Lord God,I just ask for my family. And Momma wasn't a mean witch anymore, when I wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Daddy wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Alex wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Meemaw wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Papa wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Grandma wasn't a mean witch anymore, when Grandpa wasn't a mean witch anymore.In Jesus name,Amen." (sometimes Mammaw and Pappaw get thrown in there, too)

Bee-bee-energy. Bee-bee-energy. (all the while running in a circle in the living room)

"Momma, do you like me?" (my response: "Yes, Reesey, I love you.") "Say, 'berry much.'" (my response: "Very much.")

She's been saying some of these for awhile and I just remembered them:
Ba-jeams -- translation: jeans

Nasios -- translation: nachos

Busketti -- translation: spaghetti

Ska-by-ohs -- translation: spaghetti o's

Gless you -- translation: bless you

Gling-gling -- translation: keyboard/piano

Here are a few of the names for her baby dolls:
Baby Oh-oh
Baby Pink (b/c the baby doll had a pink shirt on)
Baby Water (her water baby)
Baby Ho-ho (which I think is the one now called "Baby Oh-oh")
Baby Sister
Baby Brother (neither of which has anything to do with them being brother and sister....one wears a yellow "Curious George" shirt and the other has on a blue onesie)
Baby Brown-Pink (which is a doll at Ryan's mom and dad's that happens to be a black baby wearing a pink night gown)

Her PINK bunny is a BOY. Always has been. She's had Bunny since the day she was born and loves him like he's a member of the family. We don't go anywhere without him.

A-B-C-D-Q-R-X-Y-W-B-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-X-T-U-V (those are her ABCs)

Ax----that's Alex (without the middle syllable)
"Phil Werrell, he's on the TV!"--when she saw Will Ferrel on as "Ricky Bobby"

"Hor-un Hear a Who is a great movie."

"1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 Bears. The end."

"This is me when I was old. And when I was a baby when I was in your tummy and then I rolled out."--Explaining to us about when she was born, I suppose.

"Twinkle, little star. How I wonder what you are. Of a butt the world so high. In a diamond in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder what you ate for breakfast."

The other day, my mom came over so she and I could go shopping. Reesey was sitting up at the table and my mom went by and pinched her hiney. She said, "I got your cheek!" Reesey said, "No. Meemaw, that's not my cheek." Mom asked, "What was it, then?" She said, "It's my hiney. Hiney's don't have cheeks." Silly girl!!!

"Momma, can I watch Bibble and Eleina?" It's her Barbie Mermaidia movie.

"Let's see what I am." Standing on the scale in the bathroom.

"Look at that cat!" It's so much better, though, actually hearing her say it. Too funny.

"I miss Mammaw Regular." Said with a sad face. "Mammaw Regular" is Ryan's mom. Ryan's grandma passed away when Reesey was about 7 or 8 months old. Her name was Mammaw Mo. So, to get out of things or to keep from getting in trouble, sometimes Reesey tells us she misses Mammaw Mo. It doesn't work. It did a few times, but not anymore. We've figured her out. Sometimes she just randomly tells us that she misses Mammaw Regular (Ryan's mom).


"I want number 1." We've been giving her two choices on things. Number one is usually what we just want her to do. Number two involves either getting spanked or going to her room. She usually doesn't even let us finish before she chooses number one.

"It's pretty getting hot out there."

"It's pretty getting bright."

"And I said, 'It's pretty getting dark.'"

"This is your last morning." She meant, "This is your last WARNing." But that's what came out. She was serious, too. She told me that if I didn't stop teasing her she would spank me. I was laughing so hard, and she came over and started to spank me. It was hilarious!
